Amazing Grace—The Story Behind it.
I was studying for my Bible Verse Quiz at Starbucks on Jacksonville Beach, when Stacy Hobbs began playing, 'Amazing Grace' with his one-armed harp guitar.
I ran up thanking him, and he stopped playing for a second.
"Have you ever heard the story behind Amazing Grace? He asked me.
"No, can you tell me it?" I was excited!
"An English sailor named, John Newton was in the middle of the ocean in the 1700s carrying a boat filled with slaves to sell. One night a terrible storm battered his vessel so severely that he became frightened enough to call out to God for mercy. God saved their lives that night and John's life was forever changed. He gave up his career in slave trade and began studying theology. He wrote, Amazing Grace with a message that forgiveness and redemption are possible regardless of the sins people commit and that the soul can be delivered from despair through the mercy of God.
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

It's beautiful; you can't help but feel like you are on the Ocean with John during his revelation with God! http://new.music.yahoo.com/stacy-hobbs/tracks/amazing-grace--6443366
I met Stacy while he was playing Amazing Grace in Jacksonville Beach. The song has always been my favorite.
My memoir "From Hollywood to God" is now on Amazon and Kindle books!
My first stop was to The World Sound Healing Conference in San Francisco. I wanted to understand the science of frequencies, especially if everything in the universe was vibrating to their own unique song!
I waited in the large conference room to hear Dr. Susan Yale's lecture on the Harmonic Oscillator.
"You can hear the sound of "nature" between the Pyramids of Giza," Dr. Yale said, pausing, "it's a perfect F Sharp."
No one moved. She spoke slowly, "If you knew there was a place in the world where you could hear God, would you go?"
I always wanted to sleep on the Nile!"
