Dangers of Aspartame—It Blocks Serotonin to the Brain!

10 Reasons to Stop Drinking Diet Soda By Kelly Granite Enck

1. Neurotoxin: Aspartame acts as a neurotoxin. It is also known as NutraSweet.
Aspartame is a methyl ester of the aspartic acid/phenylalanine dipeptide. It was first sold under the brand name NutraSweet; It was first synthesized in 1965 and the patent expired in 1992.

2.  Headaches: Sucralose may cause headaches. Made from a modified sugar molecule, sucralose is supposed to pass through the body unabsorbed. Sucralose has been linked to migraines, gastrointestinal issues, and thymus gland damage. Sucralose may also intensify sugar cravings, increase appetite, and trigger insulin release.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest, downgraded sucralose from "Safe" to "Caution" in June 2013, citing a new study linking sucralose consumption with leukemia risk in rats.[25][26]

3.  Acidifying: Soda is one of the most acidic substances humans ingest. The acid in diet soda demineralize the bones and teeth, and can lead to fractures and osteoporosis.

4. Caffeinated: Caffeine excessively taxes the liver and can hamper its ability to cleanse and filter toxins from the body. Caffeine can trigger stress hormones, which can result in chronic stress and weight gain.

5. Increases Risk of Obesity: Studies show that although diet soda has no caloric value, it may have an impact on insulin similar to sugar ingestion. This is most likely due to the cephalic phase insulin responses in the brain. When you taste the sweet in diet soda, your body perceives it as sugar and causes the pancreas to release insulin just as it would if you were consuming actual sugar. Some studies show that drinking diet soda may increase the incidence of obesity and/or prevent you from losing weight. In fact, researchers at the University of Texas Health Center made some startling findings when testing the link between obesity and diet soda. Obesity risk increased as followed: 26.5 percent fro people drinking up to 1/2 can of diet soda per day, and 24 percent for regular soda drinker's consuming up to one can per day. 54. 5 percent for one to two cans of diet soda per day as opposed to 57.1 percent for people droning more than two cans of diet soda per day. In other words, diet soda consumption had a higher correlation with obesity rates than consumption of caloric soda containing sugar or high-fructose corn syrup.

6. Increases Toxic Load:
Artificial coloring
Phosphoric acid
Potassium benzoate
Citric acid

7. Increases Risk of Heart Disease: A study at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine showed that people who drank diet soda daily had a 61 percent increase risk of a cardiovascular event.

8. May Contribute to Metabolic Syndrome: Diet soda is worse for you than eating meat or fried foods. According to a study at University of Minnesota's School of Public Health in 2008 linked diet soda to metabolic syndrome, a cluster of metabolic disorders including obesity, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides and hormone resistance.

9. Aspartame Contributes to Insomnia and Panic Attacks: the great news is it only takes 7 years after giving it up in which the body is entirely made anew, every cell, organ and bone.

10. May Contribute to Metabolic Syndrome: Diet Sodas contain aspartame, which blocks the brains ability to produce serotonin.

Avoiding soda may be one of the best things you can do for your health. Feeling good starts with the fuel you put in your body. Sugar or Imitation Sugar Triggers the pancreases to over exert. Diet Soda weakens your immune system, and excessive sugar feeds all diseases, especially cancer. So, next time you think of buying a large diet coke at the movies, skip it to avoid days of depression.

I learned about the amazing Raw Food Diet in 2009 and wrote about my experience in my memoir, "From Hollywood to God" on Amazon and Kindle books.
Sneak-A-Peek Below!

I invite you on my seven-year journey in search of life's meaning. My first stop was ‘The World Sound Healing Conference’ in San Francisco. I wanted to learn more about the universal energy, both seen and unseen. I waited in a large conference room to hear Dr. Susan Yale an expert on sonic codes. The room went dark . Three giant pyramids projected on a large screen.

A voice came overhead, "If you knew there was a place in the world where you could 'hear God' would you go?" We were stunned in an infinite moment of wonder. Dr. Yale's voice was like an Oracle, “You can hear the sound of God between the Pyramids of Giza," She said. "It's a perfect F# sharp.”

I hurried home to pack for Egypt! But, before I could get there, I stopped for a coffee and was thunderstruck by a Scandinavian man. He was sitting at a long wooden table reading a thick book. How elegant I thought, looking at his tailored pants, shirt with cuffs, and blonde wavy hair. I sat down next to him with my coffee-to-go. He looked up at me with piercing blue eyes. Five minutes after hello, I had accidentally invited him to Egypt and to my surprise he was going!"  Click to continue reading my memoir—"From Hollywood to God” By Kelly Granite Enck.
